4 years varsity cross country, indoor & outdoor track and field in college. I ran the steeple chase outdoors which was awesome!!

finished 3 Boston Marathons

Short-Term Running Goals:

finish a 5k in 21 minutes

Long-Term Running Goals:

qualify for boston 2009

qualify at Bay State Marathon

Personal:

I  finished 3 Boston Marathons with my best time being 4 hours 18 minutes and 36 seconds. I ran two after that, which caused serious injury to my ankle which was already injured from running. I had surgery in jan 2008 to fix a condition called PTTD (or adult aquired flat foot). My father passed away before I could finish another one so this next one I will do will be for him and I am qualify in his memory. I am just getting back into running now so it is going to be a long grueling road. I am 24 years old and love running more than anything welll almost my family, jack, and friends come first sometimes too.

2nd run back since major foot/ankle surgery. Felt like it is getting better. Just really need to buy new shoes now and see how that makes everything feel. my shoes are no good have probably close to 600 miles.

Kristim, best running wishes to you for a good recovery from your surgery. There have been several inspirational recovery efforts done by bloggers this year. If you haven't seen Benn's or Kory's blog they are worth reading to see how they handled their Achilles tendon issues. Enjoy, Paul

How is your training coming?

From Matt on Mon, Sep 29, 2008 at 14:46:46

I am really excited for the St. George Marathon this Saturday. It should qualify me for Boston this Spring unless my Achilles tendonitis destroys me.
